If you are the owner of an affordable homeownership property, your deed restriction will have an impact on the type of refinancing available to you. There are very specific restrictions in your deed rider that must be followed.  To make sure the process goes smoothly, you must contact the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development at 617-573-1313.  You can also be referred to the appropriate person by contacting your local agency and talking  with the Homes for Good housing counselor.
