Taney Place is part of Homes for Good's Rental Assistance Demonstration RAD Phase 2, and converts public housing subsidy into project based vouchers, which will preserve at-risk federal rental subsidies by building 102 newly constructed units over two sites. The residential portion of the site will be approximately 61,000 square feet and consist of eight two-bedroom units, 33 three-bedroom units, and 8 four-bedroom units. The other unheated space will require approximately 3,000 square feet for bike storage, and trash enclosures. The community room will create a gathering space for residents and include space for on-site resident services, classes, reading and after school classes for children. Additionally, the current layout proposes 51 parking spaces, a play area, laundry facilities to support the proposed residential units, and stormwater swales.
